Common Parts of a House

FAQ's

How do I pick my colors?

We recommend starting at the paint store for swatches, samples, and suggestions in the brochures. You can paint swatches of the color on your house or we can for an additional fee. We include 3 colors for exterior paint jobs; Main house, all trim/gutters, and a door color. Interior includes, 1 for walls, 1 for ceilings and 1 for trim and doors. There may be a small fee for additional color selections.

*Keep a record of your house colors for the future!

When can you start?

After we have received your signed contract and 10% deposit we will notify you of a general start date and stay in contact as things change. If you are working with other contractors, just let us know and we will be happy to work with you on their schedule.

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Exterior: Please trim bushes back as you are able to leave adequate access for washing and painting. It is helpful to remove any hanging decorations, wind chimes, or plants. Our crews can assist in moving heavy items or furniture.

Interior: All pictures and decorations should be removed, any furniture tops should be cleared of small items. We will move items furniture into the middle of the room and cover.

** Painted wood windows should be gently opened and closed after paint to prevent sticking.

Cabinets: Empty drawers and push items back into the cabinet as far as possible or empty if your prefer. Clear countertops of clutter.

**Cabinets should cure before heavy use. Gently open and close for a few days after paint to prevent sticking.

How do I pay?

Our most popular form of payment is check. We are able to take a credit card for an additional 3.5% processing fee via Square. We require a 10% deposit to secure a place in the schedule, 45% progress payment and a 45% final payment due at completion of the project.

What if I need touch-up or notice a problem after you leave?

Customer service is our top priority. We encourage you to be home on completion so you are able to thoroughly review the job for satisfaction. Please call us if you notice any missed areas or imperfections and we will send a painter as soon as we are able.

How do I maintain the quality of my paint or stain job?

We recommend power washing your new paint job every 3-5 years to keep it looking brand new and increase the life of the paint. Stain should to be re-applied every 2-5 years depending on the weather conditions.
